Fisher Price Recall


www.mahalo.com Toy maker Fisher-Price is recalling more than 10 million children's products and toys sold throughout the US because of possible safety hazards. The voluntary recall was announced on September 30, 2010. The recall includes seven million children's tricycles, along with several other Fisher-Price products. The Consumer Product Safety Commission, or CPSC, says consumers "should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed." The CPSC says it's received "10 reports of injury, six serious" involving Fisher-Price's Trikes and Tough Trikes tricycles for toddlers. These tricycles were sold between January 1997 and September 2010. According to ABC News, a fake ignition key on the tricycles protrudes and some children have fallen on this key and suffered injuries. The recall also affects nearly one million Fisher-Price high chairs, including the Healthy Care, Easy Clean and Close to Me models. ABC News says pegs on the legs of the high chair protrude and some children have fallen on the pegs and suffered injuries. Fisher-Price is also recalling about 2.8 million Baby Playzone Crawl & Cruise Playgrounds, along with the Baby Playzone Crawl & Slide Arcade, the Baby Gymnastics Play Wall, the 1-2-3 Tetherball, the Bat & Score Goal and the Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquarium.According to the CPSC, these toys, which have inflatable balls, may pose a choking hazard.
